Those four years, I am convinced, are the most important in a person’s development. It happens to be the same period of time I see students for Innovative Arts. The differences between these two ages can’t be overstated – in terms of curiosity especially. The progress for Innovative Arts has 5th and 6th grade nailed down, figured out. The older students are still a prime opportunity for more engagement in class. Each class gets progressively more engaged but there is still plenty of ways to go. Lately, I’ve been thinking about connecting and modeling coachability. There are irons in the fire and a good number of positive experiments to try out… there is so much yet to figure out!
