Go slow to go fast

As kids embrace their creative and curious mindsets, there exists a contradiction they need to understand. Just because certain tools are easier or more accessible than others – think 3D pens as the penultimate example – does not equate to better results as creatives. Instead, patience is key; going slow in order to go fast will empower them with invaluable skills and experiences that no shortcut can replace. Encouraging our young learners to step back from quick-fix solutions is essential for helping them become accomplished creators bound by nothing but imagination!

Learning to enjoy the process, learn from other creators and especially to value our mistakes… this is both tough and rewarding to teach. It feels more like an art than a science.
